Makes sense to me. Mikyla or Makyla is how I would spell it if it's pronounced mih-KYE-la. I've never understood where the KYE comes from in the spelling Michaela. Michaela is only mih-KAY-la for me.

It all depends on the language base from which one's interpretting the pronunciation. Linguistically uneducated English speakers butcher name prn.s all the time.

ummm... yuck... It looks like they wanted something btw. Michael and Mihaela and then went w/ a funky spelling of it.

I don't like it. It will always be spelt Michaela to me. :)
