Millie was a health little baby. Uppity. Happy-go-lucky. She's been a wonderful addition to the family. Nothing can upset little Mia. Millicent Nichola Ruth is the most darling, happy-go-lucky three-year-old imaginable.
Litsy was a sicklier child than Mia or any of her other siblings. Therefore, the name Talitha fits. Elissa and Hiram decided on the name Talitha, because in Scripture Jesus says, "Talitha cumi," which means "little girl, arise." The little girl Jesus was speaking to arose. Talitha Patience Racquel "arose" from her sickliness after the first month or so.
Mena is adorable. She's all over the place. Bouncing. Dancing. Singing. Hopping. You name it, and she'll do it. At one Philomena is all over the place. What a joy she is to her parents and siblings!
Lou and Max were born just a few months ago. Lou and Max were both frail and weak. Neither were expected to live. Max is still rather frail and he could be lost any time.
Since Lettie was a tiny baby, many things have changed. Firstly, Roland has taken off on the opposite sides of things. At the age of fifteen, he has decided that his mother and Hiram are in the wrong by looking at the rebels with disgust. He has secretly joined up with them. Elissa is sorely grieved about Roland's change of sides.
Darius is still quiet. He's been searching for a wife. When he met Ivy, Darius knew she was for him, though they are still, as of yet, not engaged. Ivy and Darius are lucky to not have an arranged marriage.
Hiram is hoping to help plan the counterattack. He is still fully loyal to the King and Queen. His family always has been. He doesn't feel that it is right to, in all actuality, give up his loyalty to the King. Anyway, he is strongly for the King and his growing family.
Zephaniah and Matilda, now nine years old, are going separate ways in point of view. Zephaniah seems to be following in the footsteps of Roland. This is already bringing grief to Elissa. She doesn't think she'll be able to cope with another son on the opposite side. Matilda is fully for the King, the Queen, and their young family. Tildy has never told her parents this, but she believes she has caught a glimpse of the King's eldest. Matilda has never felt stronger on a subject than she feels for her loyalty to the king. And she's only nine!
Halley seems to be taking after Darius. She is shy and quiet. Darius is a wonderful older brother for her, taking her under his protective wing. Hallelujah and Darius have a strong bond between them. Halley will feel quite sorrowful when the happy day comes that Darius leaves the house with a wife.
Lettie is glad to have younger siblings. She is especially endeared to Max and Lou. Her little five-year-old heart would be broken if she were to lose one, the other, or both.
