[Opinions] Camille
With the American pronunciation, for a girl. What do you think? Any favorite combos? Any suspicion that it'll become very popular?

My name is Camille so I'm a bit biased in my liking for it. I don't know if it will become popular...the only Camilles I've met were in a class I had two semesters ago. It was kind of strange how there were three of us in a class. Never had that happen before.

I have no idea about the American pron. since I'm not from there, but I pron. it ka mil. I think it's quite understated and pretty, I adore the nn Millie or even Mila. I don't see it becoming too popular.
Yes, it is lovely.

I love it, I think it's very pretty and classy. I don't think it will become popular anytime soon; French names seem to be out; Latin/Italian/Spanish names are in. Thus, Camilla might become more popular, but I don't think Camille will for a while.
Hmmmmmm, it has risen pretty steadily for the last little while... not by much but its inching its way up there. I could see it breaking the top hundred but I would be surprised if it became the next Emily.
I like it! I actually love the "meeeeeel" sound in there, more than the "cam" sound. It has such warmth to it.
Camille Joyce comes to mind immediately.. something with a juicy-J sound.
