It has been two years since Alexei was born and Andrey came to live with them. Vitaliy was recently promoted within the police department--he got a pay raise and everything. He works the day shift regularly now, so he gets to spend evenings at home with Kira and the boys. About a month ago, Vitaliy found a stray puppy at work and brought it back as a present for Andrey and Alexei. The boys love the dog--who is black and brown and white. They aren't sure what kind he is, but love the dog just the same. Kira let the boys name it, and they decided on "Totoshka" from the popular book, The Wizard of Emerald City (it is loosely based on The Wizard of Oz). Totoshka is a good addition to the family, and he is quickly teaching the boys responibility.
