Roland and Delilah had been trying to have children for about six months before a visit to the doctor confirmed their worst fears: Delilah had an extremely low chance of getting pregnant.
Suprisingly, Delilah was the first to recover, saying that it wasn't the end of the world and they could always adopt. So the pair set about looking right away. After nine months they met a young teenage mother who was unable to keep her baby. The young Mother ended up choosing the Rogers' to take care of her baby girl under the condition that when the baby was eighteen she would be given her contact information.
Roland and Delilah agreed enthusiastically and were their for the birth of their new daughter who they named Florence Wilhelmina - her middle name honouring her strong birth Mother.
