Florence is a curious young girl, very loud and open but protective of her younger siblings, especially little Rosa. She does well in school, and it very excited about starting grade one.
Roland and Delilah kept themselves up for any young children that needed adopting and they were picked by a single mother who already had nine children and, unfortunately, couldn't care for her newborn son. Roland was excited about getting a boy so Delilah let him name him. So far Talon Flint's name has proven to be true as he loves watching Delilah cut things and is fascinated by fire. He is the least careful around little Rosa because he doesn't seem to realize how fragile she is.
Ten months after adopting Talon, Roland and Delilah met with another teenage mother who was days away from her due date and had yet to choose an adoptive family for her baby. Delilah made an impression on young Jennifer, who ended up choosing the Rogers. Astrid was born giggling and is a happy-go-lucky sort who has permanent rose-coloured glasses on. But she's a sweetheart who dotes on Rosa and gets along extremely well with both Florence and Talon.
Little Rosa, the only biological child of Roland and Delilah so far, was born with a small bit of black hair on her head and her baby blue eyes darkened within a few days to a deep brown. She is a solemn girl who cannot be parted from her multi-coloured blanket.
