[Opinions] How do you pronounce Evangeline?
I thought it was EvangeLINE, but on this site, it says EvangeLEEN.
Also, what do you think about Evangela instead of Evangeline?

e-VAN-je-leen.
I prefer Evangeline to Evangela. Evangela just makes me think ev-Angela, and I'm not really a fan of Angela.
Actually, at the moment, I'm quite liking Evangeline with the nn Evan or Evie.

Definitely Evangeleen
EvangeLINE sounds clunky to me, EvangeLEEN is much prettier.
But I think I prefer Angela, Angelina, Angeline (leen-sound here too), Evelyn or Evelina.
"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

I think it's pronounced e-VAN-je-leen, but I honestly prefer e-VAN-ge-lien, to rhyme with fine and vine. I don't like Evangela. It doesn't sound pretty to me.

I say ee-VAN-jeh-LYNE...
Just like you. Both are appropriate, but I prefer my pronunciation--it reminds me of hearing a short story called "The Osage Orange Tree" read aloud.

"Phineas. That's an interesting name."
"Yeah. It's Latin for 'kick me'."

e-VAN-je-leen myself, but could go either way.

Ditto both pronounciation and the Evangela thing.
