Finally Sophia became pregnant! Avery and Sophia was overjoyous, but the happiness didn't last for too long. During the pregnancy, Sophia found out that she had cancer. The treatmeant would kill the triplets she was carrying but if she didn't take it, she probably wouldn't survive. Even though Avery begged her, Sophia wasn't ready to give up the triplets she'd worked so hard for, even if it meant sacrificing her own life. As soon as Anna, Will and Tom were born, Sophia started her treatment, but it was too late and Sophia died three months after her children were born.
Avery was still devastated after Sophia's death when he met Allie. Allie had lost her husband in Iraq and since they both mourned a friendship evolved, that soon lead to something more. They married and Allie has now given birth to their first child together, Rhonwen!
