I'd say "eh-VEHL-iya" 'eh' like 'ay' but shorter.

This has pronunciation audio clips from three different locations/language backgrounds. However, they all sound pretty much the same to me!

Thanks - and to me, though it does appear that basically it's eh-vehl-lee-uh and not ee-vee-lee-uh as I'd feared!
