Welcome to my Immigrant Congrats! This is going to be a very simple KUY congrats becuase I don't have time for anything more complicated right now. I'll provide how many years have passed, genders (in some cases), prompts (for those who want them), and links to previous rounds. You copy and paste and age your family yourself.
There will be no penalty for missed rounds other than you have to make them up and sign-ups are welcome at any round, though you might have trouble catching up after the first five rounds or so. This will probably be a somewhat longish congrats, tracing at least two generations, possibly into the third.
Your couple can hail from the same or different countries, but both must be immigrants. You can choose which country they move to and what era they live in, anything from Vikings to futuristic. Names make sense for the place and time period (no Nevaehs for 1850s Irish immigrants!) The only other rule will be that all names must come from either the country/ies of origin or the country the people moved to. Other than that, names are up to you. Same sex couples are allowed for every era from 1940s onward. If you want to do a polyamorous couple you can, but unless the culture allows legal marriage of two or more people then the third person will be listed as DLover.

Orlando and Ginevra have both grown up in the Tuscan countryside near Florence, and both have been poor their entire lives. Ginevra was the daughter of a famer who had never been able to make much of a living. She lost both her parents at age seventeen, and she has been taking care of her little brother Adamo and her little sister Teodora since then. Orlando met her soon before her parents died, passing through her village as a peddler. The two had a mutual love of music and books, and he gave her trinkets. He was an only child orphaned at the age of ten, and he had been living with a cruel uncle until he was eighteen, then began peddling to make his living. They had been engaged before Ginevra's parents died and were waiting until they could afford a wedding. That day took a year and a half to come. Then Orlando came to Ginevra with exciting news. He had saved up enough money to buy the two of them and Ginevra's two little siblings passage to America. All of them were excited; though they loved Tuscany, there was nothing left for them there. So they packed up and after a few months in Florence, where Orlando and Ginevra married, sailed to New York. They have settled in New York City, in a decent apartment above a dry goods store that the kindly owner, an Irishman named Thomas Doyle, has let the young couple rent cheaply. They are rapidly learning English, and Orlando is working for Doyle as a delivery man while Ginevra cleans the shop. Her load is light, as she is expecting the couple's first child.

Cassius is a Roman General from Rome, while Godiva is a Saxon who migrated to Brittania with the rest of her fellow barbarians. While the Roman's are currently busy trying to keep the invaders at bay, Cassius has defied his loyalty to Rome by falling in love with Godiva, who is the daughter of the leader of the barbaric tribe, the Saxons. The two met after Cassius saved Godiva's life during a particularly nasty battle.
Upon meeting, Godiva almost killed Cassius, but it was love at first sight for Cassius. After awhile, Godiva began to trust Cassius, and they were soon married, much to the other Roman's disgust. While they know very well they should not dare say anything unflattering about Godiva in front of Cassius, behind his back they laugh at his foolishness for trusting and loving an uncivil barbarian. They fear that she will ultimately be Rome's downfall in Brittania.

Polly was instantly put to work helping her uncle sell the catch on the docks where she first met Charlie. Charlie and Polly quickly developed feelings for one another. Although his parents are not pleased that he has decided to marry a Portuguese girl, they are happy that she is Catholic.

In the 2200s, most European countries are weak in economy and most people are very poor. The places that cannot attract tourists or grow grains are the worst. Unfortuneatly, both Clara and Émile are from poor areas. Instead of moving to Émiles cousins in Paris, which is still a great area for tourists, they want to take a chance in Japan. Japan is one of the richest and most influential countries in the world and here there are many jobs. Clara speaks a little Japanese and Émile is former pianist and hopes he can teach piano at some school. They really hope they can make it in Sapporo, because they can't really afford the ticket home.

Ianto didn’t know anyone besides his family in Cardiff, but being a very outgoing person who never shies away from a challenge he made friends quickly & soon felt just as at home in Wales as he ever had in America. When he was 19 he enrolled in Cardiff University as an English Major. When he was 20 he switched his major to Computer Sciences.
Toshi was born & raised in Tokyo, Japan. When he was 16 his father’s job required that their family move to Cardiff, Wales for a couple years. His father finished his work in Cardiff a month before Toshi’s 18th birthday but when his family returned to Japan Toshi decided to stay behind. He had always been a shy person & hadn’t made many friends after coming to Wales but he was intrigued by the county & being the curious boy that he was he wanted to learn more about it. Just after his 18th birthday he began taking classes at Cardiff University, specifically the Cardiff School of Computer Science & Informatics.

He stopped to speak with her, and, since Lovise had studied French before coming, they started talking. Lovise broke into tears and poured her heart out to the young Frenchman. Ludovic, at the time, was a single man with not a single girl he was interested in... until he met Lovise. Over the years, Ludovic and Lovise began seeing each other and eventually married. Now, in the midst of the French Revolution, Ludovic and Lovise have decided to move to Austria, a place where they believe they may be safe from the Revolution. Also, it is a place where they might be able to practice their Catholic faith without fearing the law... though, of course, like any good Catholic, they would not be afraid to give up their lives to keep their faith.
