Jack and Alana were at Hogwarts together and dated during their final years. Alana went into training to become an Auror, however, and the couple grew apart. Several years later they reconnected and started to fall in love. They were married shortly after Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore announced the return of Voldemort, realizing that whatever happened, they wanted to be together. They joined the second Order of the Phoenix and fought to defeat Lord Voldemort in the Second Wizarding War. Alana was a more active member of the Order; Jack often did support work.
In the year after the Battle of Hogwarts, their oldest son was born. His middle name is a bit of a memorial to Remus Lupin, who had become a friend to the Kensingtons. Arthur is a bright boy, and takes his mother in natural brains, but with more of his father's quiet passion. He did very well in Muggle primary school and often impressed his teachers, though his peers thought he was odd. Arthur had few Muggle friends, and looks forward to getting to go to school with his Wizarding friends instead.
