[Opinions] Régine
I've never been fond of the name Regina - it's the name of a major city in Canada and we pronounce it to rhyme with angina. But I was surfing some Wikipedia and came across the name in its French incarnation, Régine, and that I like. What do you think of Régine?

I was liking it until I realized that it looks like 'regime'...

Hmmm. I see your point. But I must admit that if I had to choose between names that reminded me of vaginas or regimes, regimes would ultimately win!

I have to agree with that. Maybe it's a Regina Regine (vagina regime)!???! hahahaha

lmaoTerrible! If only my silly country said the word Regina properly! Then I wouldn't be forced to make such wrenching decisions. I wonder whose fault it is that we say Regina wrong.

I happen to like Regina, and with that pronunciation (though hypothetically only, of course!). But Régine is pretty, too. I used to like it a lot in the double name Anna-Régine. I think it would be fun to play around with on its own, too. Alas, I must go bathe my toddler now. :)

Oh, Anna-Régine is very nice! So stately and starchy.
