Prompt: It's been three years since the birth of your family's last child, and they decided the time was right to add another to the family. This time something went wrong, and mother and baby both nearly died. Things in the little town of Evandale, where the De Fiore family lived, couldn't be better. They have been quickly accepted by the people of the town, even gaining nicknames. Renata and Arianna are both in school and loving it, and Giacomo is becoming quite the little whirlwind, going here there and everywhere, but never too far from Ginevra's apron strings. Adamo has recently become partner in a small grocery store with a friend of his, which is starting to pick up, and he recently started going around with a girl named Matilda Swanson. Teodora has graduated high school and, thanks to the help of her favorite teacher Mr. Gibbs, is going to college in New York on an almost full scholarship. Things were going so well, Orlando and Ginevra decided to have another child.
Little Bettina's birth was not an easy one. She was born breach, and both of them almost died. But the Doctor attending them was skillful enough that they both came through it healthy. That is why they gave her the name Bettina, because she was blessed to come through the birth all right.

Once Émile had gotten a better job and the twins had gotten a little older, Émile and Clara started to think about having another baby. Clara became pregnant but at the end of the pregnancy she started to feel very ill. Émile tried to take her to the hospital, but no doctor would help her. Appearently, there had been a huge fire in Sapporo and according to Japanese law, doctor's had to treat Japanese patients before they took care of immigrant patients. Clara was beginning to feel worse and the baby started coming. Émile didn't know anything about medecine but he could tell that both Clara and the baby was about to die. He started crying a practically begged a doctor on his knees to help them. That doctor ignored him, but another doctor heard his pray and ran to them. This doctor was younger, and it turned out that his mother was Chinese and had experienced the same cruel hospital laws when she was newly-immigrated too. He couldn't turn away when he saw people screaming for help, he said, and even though he broke the law, he helped Clara deliver the baby. All she needed was a shot of some medecine and then she was able to deliver the baby.
The baby was a boy and Clara and Émile named him Ken'ichi, which means healthy or strong. His MN is French.

There will be probably two more rounds before grandchildren, so you can decide how you want to go through them--either ignore them completely, write a bit about how the family is doing, or use the prompt for a sibling's or friend's baby. Also, could you please add ages to the birth years? I'm hopeless at math -__-

Eden's birth was a scary one. Shayna went into labor almost eight weeks early! Avraham took her to the best hospital around but they told her that they couldn't stop the baby from coming! Shayna cried and cried and after three days of difficult labor, her baby was born silent. She was about to start crying when the doctor held the baby upside down and started smacking it. Avraham didn't understand why they were doing it, but a few moments later their little girl was crying! Her name was going to be Eden Nicole (Nicole for Nikifor), but they decided Eden Mazal (Heaven/Pleasure & Luck) was a much better name for their daughter.
Eddy came home from the hospital when she was a month old and her siblings were happy. Her parents were just relieved. Everybody resumed their normal activities; Gymnastics (Milena is her inspiration), Piano, and scouts for Maya; Soccer, Piano, and Scouts for Daniel; Piano, Soccer, and Basketball for Nat.

Its been three years since James's birth. Dimitri and Celia thought it was time to add another baby to the family and soon enough Celia got pregnant. But everything didn't turned out as they had planned. It was a very hard pregnancy. The baby's heartbeat became very low, until the doctor couldn't even find them during the delivery. Celia was forced to have a C-section to save the baby, but she lost a lot of blood during that C-section and the doctors couldn't stop the bleeding. Their little baby wasn't breathing and it was very close that both he and Celia died. But they are two fighters and pulled through together.
Celia and Dimitri decided to name him Felix since they wanted a name that works in the US but with a good meaning. For the middle name they wanted a name that is used in both Spain and Russia, so they ended up naming him Felix David.

Little Bente came out fighting for her life. Lovise was also fighting to save at least her little child. It took weeks, almost months, for Lovise and Benedikte to recuperate fully. As it is, Bente is very weak, but strong for what happened to her. Bente was definitely blessed with being able to come out at all. Lovise is excited to finally have a daughter, even if this daughter almost died.
