Dont like it on a girl at all!

Like most/all male names it belongs on a male

I know a girl Dorian. Her name is Dorothy Ann and she calls herself Dorian.

I can't say that it works though. I called her Dorian and heard her referred to as Dorian and saw this skinny cute girl who was clearly a girl and simply could not think of her name as in any way feminine or female. So I don't endorse it, personally. But I think it's cleverly derived from Dorothy Ann.

I only like it as a male name.

I cannot imagine this for a girl. It is strictly masculine IMO.

Dorianne is used where I live as a blend of Dorothy and Anne. Which is fine. But Dorian looks exclusively male to me.

Dorian is all male, imo.
It doesn't look or sound the slightest bit feminine.

I can see the appeal of Dorian for a girl. I really can. It is rich and round and jewel-bright. In fact I would even find it amazingly cool if I met a girl Dorian. BUT, only if she was named after Dorian Gray. If it was given because her parents just think its cool, I would be a bit disappointed. But if her mother, say, read The Picture of Dorian Gray and adored it and wanted to name her child after it no matter its gender, I would find that really rad.

For some reason I only think girl Dorian should have outlandish middle names that show the ecclectic and offbeat nature of her parents. So something like Dorian Ishbel Calpurnia, or Dorian Lizbeth Gwenfrewi (yes also she needs three names, ok?)

On a girl, I'd only like it sp. Dorien or something... Dorienne? Nah... idk. Doriana maybe?

It was used in the UK on girls before the Oscar Wilde story appeared in print, and seems to have been considered unisex for some time after it, but now it's pretty much a male name here, so I wouldn't use it on a girl. Doriane is nice, though.
