2 years have passed since the tragic passing of Grandpa Rick. Since his funeral the whole family has been trying to make a real effort to keep in touch and they've been so delighted at so many happy events that seem to have happened!!!
For this round you can choose up to TWO of the following to have happened to your family:
1. You got married! Tell us about the wedding, was it everything you'd hoped it was? Was it to the same boyfriend/girlfriend that you brought to Grandpa Rick's funeral? If not, what happened?
2. You had a huge lifestyle change! This may have included (but is not limited to...) the discovery of a medical issue, a job offer, a death in your spouses family that resulted in some kind of inheritance...
3. You got a new pet! What did you get, what is it's name?
4. You and your spouse welcomed your first child together! If your characters first name begins with A-M you had a girl. If your characters first name begins with N-Z you had a boy. FN's are from this list: http://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/100us2009.php. MN's are to be honoring names. Which family member is your child's middle name honoring, why did you choose that person? Note that the person being honored could be from your spouses family as well.
5. You and your spouse have gained custody of a 13 year old girl related to your spouse. What are the circumstances? FN is a nature name and MN means 'beautiful'. LN is your choice.
6. You and your spouse won a trip to Africa! While there you visited an orphange and were drawn to a small boy... After returning to the states neither of you could get that little boy out of your heads and decided to adopt. It has taken 18 months of red tape but he's finally yours! He's now 3 years old, but you couldn't be happier. You have decided to give him a name that means, 'gift' or 'treasure' or something similar, and his MN is to honor his African heritage in some way.

Ben's mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after the funeral. There wasn't much that could be done and just six months after Maya lost Grandpa Rick, Ben lost his mother. His siblings at the time were 18 1/2 and 14 1/2 and absolutely devastated. Maya moved into the Berger's home to try and help care for the three remaining family members.
A few months after that, Ben took the family on a trip. They drove to a nearby nature retreat and on their last night there, he proposed. Maya was surprised, they hadn't really talked about marriage, yet, but Gali and Maor weren't, they had been let in on the secret.
After about eight months of engagement, Ben and Maya got married. It was a small wedding with only family and close friends. Maya's sisters and Gali, her best friend and soon to be sister-in-law, were her bridesmaids while Maor was Ben's best man.
Now that they are married, Maya and Ben moved from his mother's home into one of their own. The kids came along and are very happy with the new place, which is slightly larger. There are four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a basement.
Maya is thrilled to be an aunt. Her sisters have always been two of her closest friends and she is really glad that they are happy and that she now has babies to spoil as she doesn't have any children yet. She and Ben have talked about it, but decided to wait until things calm down before adding another person to the mix.
Suggestion- Can (next round) you have everyone say where their person lives? It would be a lot easier to know who we could incorparate into our stories.
Also- We should have the kids decide where their parents like.

Viva and Rafe married shortly after Viva's 24th birthday. They had a beautiful and elegant ceremony that was celebrated with family and friends. Viva and Rafe took a trip to Africa for their honeymoon. On the plane trip home Viva was very sick only to find out that she and Rafe were expecting. 9 months later a month before Viva's birthday Sophia Caroline Aronso was born healthy and happy. Rafe and Viva chose the elegant and feminine name Sophia and Caroline after Viva's father and sister Charles & Emmeline combine to make Caroline. The family lovingly coo Fifi to the baby the pet nick name they have developed for her. Sophia looks like both her parents but has the lively personality that earned Genevieve her nick name Viva.

Viva and Rafe married shortly after Viva's 24th birthday. They had a beautiful and elegant ceremony that was celebrated with family and friends. A couple weeks ago, Leo's eldest sister and her husband got in a serious car accident. Both of them died, leaving behind a thirteen-year-old daughter. Leo was given custody of this daughter. Leo and Leah, who are living with each other now with the fact that they will be married soon always on their minds, are glad to have young Willow staying with them.
Another serious change happened in the life of Leah and Leo. A close friend of Leah's, who was twenty years older than Leah, passed away, leaving a whole family of children to a drunken and rather abusive father. Leah knew she couldn't leave those poor kids to their father. After talking it over with Leo and her parents, Leah decided to see if she could take the kids in. When she was given permission, Leah helped the kids move in. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that she wasn't even married yet and she had herself a whole brood of children. Jules, Lewis, Lucy-Maud, Charlie, and Louisa-May go and visit their father every weekend, Leah and Leo staying on in the background the whole time. Most weekends, things go very well. Izzy and Cloe were driving home one night when their car was hit by a drunk driver. Izzy was killed instantly. Cloe managed to escape with minor injuries as the impact had all been taken on the driver's side of the car, but she suffered from shock and is having counselling to help her move forward. Dani & Cloe have different father's, and Cloe's has never really been around so Dani & Noah now have custody of Cloe and are committed to doing everything they can to help her get over the accident. Cloe is making great progress, but still refuses to talk about the accident itself.
3 months after the accident Dani went into labour and they welcomed little Austin Isidore Green. Isidore is after Dani's mother Izzy.
