Born: I would like Elke to have been born in Haifa.
Raised: I would like Elke to be being raised in Haifa as well, but that's open for debate.
Where Parents Live: I would say that the parents still live in Haifa, where they were raised. Maybe in an apartment or a flat.
Where Elke Lives: Elke lives with her parents, wherever they end up living.
Relationship with Parents: Elke has a good relationship with both of her parents, but of course, there are times when she disagrees with them.
Relationship with Siblings: As the middle child, Elke feels that she doesn't get a whole lot of attention. Lena, of course, is the oldest, and Yael is the youngest, but Elke feels like she doesn't always have a place. Elke gets along all right with both Lena and Yael, but prefers to hang out with her friends.
Relationship with other family members: Elke especially enjoys spending time with her grandparents--who always tell stories about the days when they first came to Israel. The only cousin close to Elke's age is Ora Aviyodeha, who is fourteen. She and Elke spend most of their time together at family events, simply because they are close in age. Elke isn't close with her older cousins, but doesn't dislike them.
Romantic Partner?: Lihi says that Elke is too young to have a boyfriend, but there is a boy at school, Arieh Rosenthal, whom Elke likes a lot.
Friends: Elke's best friends are in her year at school--Adena Bachman, Dorit Baum, and Kaila Wirth. She is also friends with a Muslim girl who lives nearby named Aqila Kader and her older sister, Farah. Elke's other friends in the neighborhood include Adara, Marni, Miriam, Moshe, Omer, Reuben, Sekel, and the twins, Tomer and Toiba. She is also friends with an American girl named Lauren, whose parents work at an archaeological site.
Hobbies: Elke likes riding her bike and going swimming. She also likes animals. Elke loves to be outside and spends a lot of time playing games with the kids who live on the street.
Pets: I think that the family should have one or two dogs, but that's just me and I like dogs.
Medical Conditions: Elke is generally healthy, but she has been hospitalized twice for pneumonia and bronchitis in the past four years.
Parents' jobs: Because Lihi met Ilan while in the Army, I would say that Lihi was conscripted to serve, and worked at a military training installation, where she met Ilan. Ilan served his three years in the Army, then worked as a reservist up until a few months ago, when he retired. Lihi also served in the Army for three years, and by that time, she and Ilan had married. I would say that Lihi worked as an elementary school teacher, and currently holds that position. Ilan ((I don't know what we should have him be...maybe work as a caterer in the family business, or a college professor, or as a doctor?)).
Elke's looks: Elke has long dark brown hair and deep brown eyes.
Parents looks: I would say that Lihi has blue eyes like her mother, and brown hair. Ilan can have black hair and brown eyes?
Grade/Career hopes: Elke is in seventh grade (or its Jewish equivalent)
Other: Elke's personality is generally easy-going. She's a team player, but can get really competitive. Like I mentioned above, Elke feels sort of out-of-place in her family, but she loves them all. Elke spends a lot of time with people, and a lot of time outside. She keeps a daily journal about her life, which she considers rather average.
