I'm thinking of using Persephone (nn Kore) as a name for an RP. What do you think of them, and how would you pronounce Kore?
I was thinking KOR-ee, like Cory, or KOHR-eh.

I like Persephone. I don't care for Kore but that may be influenced by my indecisiveness/ignorance on how to pronounce it. I'm leaning towards kohr-eh. I'm curious as to why you don't choose one or the other (Persephone or Kore) though I realize my curiosity is probably no concern of yours.

Kore is just another name for Persephone, and I was going to use it as a nickname, since the character's last name already starts with a P.

I love Persephone. Kore is an ok nn. In Greek it would be pronounced KOHR-ee.

I loathe the name Persephone, sorry. I think it's really, really too much for a real child, too.
I also don't like Kore at all. I'd say CORE, like an apple core.

I've come to like the name Persephone but I don't know where you're getting the nickname Kore from at all. I like the nickname Perry or maybe Seffie / Sephie. Kore looks like k-or like an apple core.

I love the name Persephone. I don't know how to pronounce Kore and I don't care for it. How is Kore a nn for Persephone? Not that there are strict rules. I just wondered.
