Sadie is an old-fashioned nickname for Sarah, kind of like Bess for Elizabeth or Polly for Mary.
I also dislike Bob/Bobby as a nickname for Robert. I much prefer Robbie. Robert also looks like it will be a middle name choice rather than a first name.
I'm glad you like Elisabeth with the nickname Ellie. My SO actually came up with Ellie when I expressed how much I liked Elisabeth, but don't like Beth or Liz. It's really grown on me. :)
