1. This is my daughter Ashen. We call her Ash for short.
You say: Nice to meet you, Ash. That's a very interesting name.
You think: I like Ash; makes me think of Pokemon. Ashen, though? Eh, I would've gone with Asher or something - definitely better on a boy, but still better than Ashen.
2. This is my daughter Bronwyn.
You say: What a lovely name, Bronwyn!
You think: I like it, very nice. I like it spelled Bronwen, but I'll take what I can get.
3. This is my son Brody.
You say: Hi there, Brody, how are you?
You think: Hmm, I can deal with it. Not a big fan, but I don't dislike it.
4. This is my son Cree.
You say: Nice to meet you Cree. May I ask where your name came from?
You think: I don't like this one.
5. This is my daughter Cyan.
You say: Hi, Cyan. It's nice to meet you.
You think: Actually, really pretty. Very, very pretty.
6. These is my daughter Ebony and Ivory.
You say: Hi, girls. What lovely names!
You think: I like them, but it sounds too racial to me. I can't get past that.
7. This is my daughter Hava.
You say: Nice to meet you, Hava. That's a very interesting name.
You think: I don't like it.
8. This is my daughter Kitara. We call her Kit for short.
You say: Hi there, Kit. That's a cool name.
You think: It's okay. It sounds cool, but I don't find it to be pretty in any way.
9. This is my daughter Lyric.
You say: Nice to meet you, Lyric. That's a great name!
You think: I do like this one. So pretty. I wonder if she can sing? I'd feel silly, being a Lyric who couldn't sing. I'd only use it as a middle name, myself.

You think: A little exotic-sounding for me. Pretty sound, though.

You think: How nice! Not a favorite, but definitely something that's great to see.

You think: I would've spelled it Paige, but I guess it's not a big deal. I don't really like it either way.
