Hello and welcome to Round 1! You will find the different events for this round below. Remember, you can choose 1, 2 or all 3. :)

The Events
1) Marriage - Your significant others tie the knot! Do they have a large or small wedding? Where did it take place? What was it like? If your significant others are already married, describe their anniversary instead. What do they do to celebrate the occasion? How do they feel now that they have been married for a while?
2) New Pet - Your family isn't quite ready to bring a baby into the world yet, but they are ready to adopt an animal friend! What kind of pet do they get? Dog: Shadow (black, male German Shepherd mix)(3)
Dog: Misty (copper/white, female Brittany Spaniel)(2)
Wil and Bekah haven't had any children yet, but they've always loved animals, so they decided to adopt a dog from one of the local animal shelters. Well, they came home with two dogs--Shadow and Misty. Shadow is a black German Shepherd mix. He looks a lot like a Shepherd, but he's smaller. Misty is a copper/white Brittany Spaniel. She is pretty high strung, but Wil is working on training her. Shadow and Misty were brought to the shelter together, and Shadow greatly reduces Misty's destructive anxiety behaviors. Wil and Bekah enjoy having two dogs around, but it does make their life hectic sometimes. Bekah keeps the dogs locked in the basement for the better part of the day while she runs her daycare, but the dogs enjoy playing together, and occasionally she'll let them upstairs when she only has one or two kids to watch.

Gideon and Sylvia are living in a small apartment in Manhattan. To mark their arrival in their new city, she gives him a pet cockatiel. It's the first pet he's ever had, and he names him Charlie, because the bird cocks his head and squawks at the TV when they play Charlie Chaplin movies.
After many auditions and meetings with directors, Sylvia gets a supporting role in the third installment of a blockbuster action franchising. She has to shoot for three weeks in California. They are trying to save money, so Gideon stays behind in New York. She finishes filming early one morning, packs her bag, and goes to the airport, only to find that her reservation has been cancelled. As she stares at the clerk, stunned, Sylvia hears a page asking her to go to the pick-up area. She is greeted by Gideon in a rental car. He drove all the way across the U.S., sleeping in the car, to surprise her.
They spend four days in San Francisco, staying in a modest hotel and eating in diners. Sylvia proclaims it the best vacation ever. Gideon promises her that the next time they come back, they'll be sleeping in the penthouse and eating in four-star restaurants. On the way back across the country, they stop at cheesy roadside attractions, which Gideon enjoys photographing, and Sylvia serenades him with bad '80s music.
Their fourth wedding anniversary comes shortly after Gideon's book publication. The early sales are not what his publisher hoped for, but they agree to put out the second book in his series, which he has already finished. With Sylvia's encouragement, he begins work on a screenplay adaptation of his first book. She gets a part in an off-Broadway play that closes after a week, but an up-and-coming writer-director catches her performance and casts her in an independent film he's shooting in Brooklyn.

Evan and Anna got married during the spring in an outside ceremony at a famous Japanese garden. The wedding was small but very romantic. Anna and Evan invited all their close friends and family members. Afterward the reception was held at a restaurant. Evan and Anna enjoyed their new status as newlyweds and immediately following the reception they left for the airport to venture off on their honeymoon to Hawaii. Anna and Evan spent seven days in Hawaii and enjoyed every minute of it.
Once the week was over, Evan and Anna sadly flew back to their home in Chicago and quickly settled down into a routine of married life. As the months wore on, Anna felt like something was missing. She spoke of this to Evan, and he proposed that they should get a pet as neither one of them was quite yet ready to take the ultimate next step and have a baby. Evan and Anna went to the local animal shelter and adopted an orange, tiger-striped male kitten they decided to name Bandit. It was love at first sight.

Evan and Anna got married during the spring in an outside ceremony at a famous Japanese garden. The wedding was small but very romantic. Anna and Evan invited all their close friends and family members. Afterward the reception was held at a restaurant. Evan and Anna enjoyed their new status as newlyweds and immediately following the reception they left for the airport to venture off on their honeymoon to Hawaii. Anna and Evan spent seven days in Hawaii and enjoyed every minute of it.
