Tara in Croatia. Interesting. I don't see why not now that I ponder it. I associate it with Ireland, but the sounds could be from anywhere and the Hindi connection works as well as any other. Toma is darling, but Iskra is what really catches my eye. Does it mean "spark" in Croatian? I have a thing for "i" names. Is it associated in Croatian culture with the Russian revolution / communism? Just curious.
The other names are all terrific too. But the Croatian ones are stealing my attention at the moment.

Tara works well, since the spelling and pronunciation is similar to the English. Tara is also a river in Montenegro and Bosnia and I know one family that used it to honor their heritage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_(Drina)).
Yup, Iskra is a modern Croatian word for spark (as in the thing that starts a fire) and as far as I know it has no connection to communism.
