I think the problem is that I knew a Paul and he was...an interesting person. Small, very skinny - his dad was very much a "Good 'ole Southern Boy." I think the connection to him - and that family (which was so intolerant & close-minded) that I just can't get around to liking the name. It's an excellent name, with tons of great namesakes - but I cannot shake that connection.
