I love it, it has a woodland nymph feel to it so I'd maybe use Sylvana instead to get the sylph feel in.

It's really pretty. It's a little too over-the-top pretty for me, though. I feel that way about a lot of -ana names for some reason.

Hate it. Makes me think of a spoiled Italian child. I like Sylvia much more.

I also like Silvana! It glistens.

Silvana is lovely. I usually prefer the non-"-ana" form of a name because the "-ana" forms usually sound pretentious. But here Sylvana doesn't give off that vibe to me. She feels more elegant than fussy.

I have a personal connection to a Sylvia, so that will always have a special place in my heart. But Sylvana is definitely worth keeping on the radar screen. It is different without being weird, not an easy feat.

It makes me think of electronics, because of the brand name Sylvania. I much prefer Sylvia, which is a name I really like. I think that the end of Silvana lessens the crisp sharpness of the first syllable of the name, and the ending of Sylvia enhances it. So basically, I don't know why anyone would use Silvana when they could use Sylvia.
