I don't care for Brent, but I love Brett. I don't know why the one letter makes such a difference for me. But I find Brent to be a pretty-boy, soap-opera type of a name. Whereas Brett feels more athletic or old West. Brett just feels like it has more history to it, I suppose.

I had the hots for a teacher in high school named Brent. So for me it's a sexy name. Wouldn't use it for a child because of that, but I rather like it.

I agree with ADT. I don't like Brent. This name also reminds me of Brett.

It screams football-playing beer-drinking jock to me. So, no, I don't like it.
