[Opinions] Sighting/ Lithuanian names
Today I met a girl called Dovilė, pronounced roughly like doh-villa (the a sound was something between a and er). It sounded very nice when she said it. She's from Lithuania, and I was just looking through the list of Lithuanian names here:

and liked quite a few of them, including Aras, Gintaras, Eglė and Giedrė.So! If you had to choose a Lithuanian name, what would you pick for a girl and a boy?

Dovilė is an interesting name. I haven't seen it before. There are a number of Lithuanians and/or Lithuanian descendants living in this area so I see the names every so often. My SO Matt is part Lithuanian and I gave him the nickname of Matas because of it. :-)I also love Aras and I like Eglė (there was a girl from my area a few years ago named that). I guess if I were to name a girl, I would pick Amalija Marija and Matas Žydrūnas for a boy.

For a boy, I quite like Andrius. My favorite Lithuanian girl name is Aistė, which isn't on the list.

Oh, that is a really pretty name, I really like that. Such a lovely cream colour. Taking a look at the Latvian name section, I really enjoy Danute, Ilona, Kotryna, Katre, Kestutis, Milda (so cute!), and Pranciskus.
