How would you pronounce Heloise?

Also what are your opinions on the name?

I pronouce it He-lo-eez. It makes me think of the cartoon Jimmy Two-Shoes, since there is a character with that name.

I pronounce it like Eloise, but with an H.

As for the name itself, I don't like Heloise. Eloise is pretty, and the H at the beginning makes it kind of ugly (and witchy).

I say it "HELL-oh-weez" and I love it. Love it love it. It's witchy yet delicate and I think it has more "guts" than Eloise.

My mother met one once who pronounced it hell-oyz.

Like Eloise I presume, because I think the 'H' is silent in France. (Like they pronounce 'hospital' as 'ospital' I think.)
