[Opinions] Opinions on Blaise?
Does the name seem at all corny to you? How would you feel if you met a boy named 'Blaise'? Please don't just reply 'I like it,' or 'I don't like it.'

I want to like it, but I'm really not sure. I don't like the look or the meaning. I like the sound, but I don't find it masculine really. Maybe as a mn?

Blaise used to be on my list but my fiance doesn't like it. Without seeing it spelled, he said that it reminded him of a stripper name. I told him that it was the name of a mathematician/philosopher, but he still doesn't like it. I personally don't care for the meaning. There will probably be spelling and pronunciation issues, but I would go with Blaise rather than another spelling. Blaze and especially Blayze are corny imo.

Corny, yes, and also tacky. I think of a BLAZE, just kre8tivlee spelled, even though I realize Blaise is a 'legitimate' name. But that's just how it strikes me. ETA: Oh dear, it means "lisping". That won't go over well in jr. high if someone finds out. :(

I think it's a Saint's name. I like it. And if it makes people think. "Blaze", all the better.

I don't like it I think of a blazer and a murderer that I once saw on a true crime show.

I absolutely love the name Blaise. I don't think the name is corny - unless he has red hair, that would be cruel.
I used to know a little boy named Blaise Anthony and it was suited him well.
