[Opinions] Jocelyn
I don't fancy a lot of -lyn names but this one I kinda like. What do you think? Do you prefer it on a boy or on a girl? Do you prefer it spelt differently?

I have known a female Jocelyn (older) and it's always sounded female to me, but I think I've read of male Jocelyn's too and remember it surprised me. I don't like it much though.

It's an okay name, not a favorite of mine. It's a more feminine name to me. However, I like the nickname Joss better on a male for some reason.

I actually prefer it as a male name, with the nickname Joss, but I don't mind seeing it on a girl.

I like Jocelyn, and I prefer it on a girl. I can't picture this name on a boy.

I really dislike this name. It seems to be going in two directions at once. By that I mean that the "Joce" sound seems incongruous with the "lyn" sound. "Joce" sounds heavy and serious, but "lyn" sounds light and airy.I've never known anyone with this name.At work we have a Joycelyn. Same problem as with Jocelyn, to my ear, but not quite as bad. "Joyce" seems a bit less heavy than "Joce."

I love Jocelyn, especially on a boy. It's such a handsome name, with a knightly feel to it.I don't think i'd ever be brave enough to name a son Jocelyn though

In my area, it's sometimes given to boys, I know a few male Jocelyns.
