[Opinions] Athenais
Athenais pronounced as AE-thah-Nay or as AH-thah-Nayand is the ATHÉNAÏS pronunciation possible when spelled as Athenais?

Athenais is beautiful, now matter how you pronounce it.

I think so too, just trying to get a public opinion....

Personally, I would say Athenais as ath-uh-NAY-iss. Neither of the two pronunciations you listed seem like something coming from Athenais, because I feel like the S is pronounced, even if they are a bit nicer. I still prefer the pronunciation for Athénaïs to any "English" pronunciation. Actually, my personal pronunciation of Athenais is mostly an anglicized version of the French one.

Hmm... depends on where you are. I think in English speaking countries, you can pronounce it however you like and very few people will disagree. In fact, the french pronunciation might be more intuitive for English speakers, who might not know what to make of an -ais that makes an AY sound, kwim?Anyway, I like ah-than-AY and ah-tha-NAY-iss.
