Did either one of you invent Tira? I've never heard it before.

I know oneShe spells it Tirra but it's the same pronunciation I think (TEER-a). I don't know where her parents got it from but she's 20 years old so it's been floating around for at least that long.

Tira is a fictional character for a video game. That, or she has ties to the place in Israel.Edit: The OP seems to have added it to the database with the note 'means land' (http://www.behindthename.com/submit/name/tira) but I can't verify that elsewhere online except for other user-submitted baby name sites, on which meanings differ widely.

Well, terra means earth/land in Latin. Probably spun off of that if anything.

Do you pronounce Tira and Terra anything alike? I don't.
