I'm normally not a fan of Irish names, but Enya is one of my favorites. I think it sounds pretty, and I also love the singer Enya's music. What do you think of Enya?

It's OK, I like the sound but cringe a tiny bit at the Anglicized spelling. I prefer Eithne to be prn Eth-na (it is the most common pronunciation also) so I'd never use that spelling for Enya. I did know girl in college who spelled her name Aine but said it Enya which I liked - again confusing.

Enya's music is OK, I find it a bit twee.

I like it! I'd consider the singer to be a cool association.

I associate it too much with the singer to be used as a real name.

I like it. It's not a favorite of mine though. I can't help but think of the singer when I see it or hear it though.

I love Irish names, haha.

But I have to admit, I would prefer Anya to Enya.

I like it but I think most people will think of the singer immediately (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

I was pretty much going to say the same thing. On a side note, I really like Enya's music, but I would probably go with the form Eithne if I ever used it.
