[Opinions] Full names for the nickname Maisie?
I was thinking Marguerite or Margaret, but I'm looking for other ideas? Oh, and what do you think of Mavis? I'm liking it as a middle. Merci! :)

Margaret would work well.I don't really care for Mavis. I think it's very old ladyish.

Margaret or just leave Maisie as is.

But would Maisie age that well? That's the reason I'm trying to find longer names for it; I don't think it'd age well.

I work in aged careand we had a Maisie who was 97, she recently passed away though :(suited her at 97. Not sure if it would suit someone in say 40's or 50s, but they could always go by May.

I think its cutesiness level is fine for aging, but I think it'll be really dated.

Yes!I think it would be fine. I don't know why it wouldn't. Yeah, it may sort of sound childish, but I don't think it would age that badly. It should be fine.

I think it would-It's close to Macy which is a full name that grownups use. And I know I'd much rather introduce myself as Maisie then Chanel...

I don't think it's the greatest example of a name that will age well, but it's fine. It's not like you'd be naming her Lili Lulu (an actual BA in my hometown). I'd say Maisie is much more comparable to Rosie as a name that's a little bit cutesy, but not at all over the top.

I think it would age just fine.

I disagreeI think it's way, way too childish for an adult.

I can see it on a small child and on an old lady, but I can't see it on anything in-between (teenagers and adults).

I've always liked it as a nickname for Rosemary. Other options:Romaine
Germaine
Marigold
Marcelline
Matilda

Oh!I've always wanted to like Thomasina, but couldn't think of a good nn for it and that was keeping me from liking it more. Yay, Maisie is an excellent choice!

Marguerite is lovely.Mavis would work, but I'm not too fond of the sound of it. I prefer Maeve. Margo / Margot and May / Mae "Maisie" would work as well even though they were originally and still are nicknames for Margaret.Other ideas:
Maia - If you go with the MAY-a pronunciation, this will work.
Mairead
Mared
