[Opinions] Willow or Willa?
I've always loved Willow, but it doesn't feel that strong to me. So what are your thoughts on Willa and which would you prefer?

I like Willow, but LOVE Willa. It's a family name for me, and my cousin named his daughter this, if he hadn't it would have been in the running if this baby had been a girl.

If this makes sense, I far prefer Willa but I don't much care for either. As long as you avoid Wilma like the plague, you should be fine.

I prefer Willow, but Willa is pretty too.

Willow! I can't get into Willa... it reminds me too much of "Willie" and it sounds a bit too old-lady-ish IMO. To me, the main appeal of Willow is the fact that it's a tree, and Willa doesn't have that as a plus, so I'm in the Willow camp on this one.

I prefer Willa. Its spunky and sweet. Willow just seems trendy and blah to me. Willa feels fresh!

Willow, but I loathe both names to the end of eternity.

Willa!Willow is nice but makes a better MN I think. It seems a bit trendy and childish as a FN to me. I love Wilhelmina nn Willa too :)

WillaWilla is better. Willow is overrated.

agreewillowillowillow... The sound isn't appealing. It's the fashionable unflowery-but-naturey image, that I think attracts people to it. Meh. Willa is much more powerful and feminine, to me.

Willow hands downI love the image it conveys, while I've always found Willa dated and dowdy.

I've just gotten used to Willow as a name. I always liked the sound of it, but "weeping willow" always prevented me. Happily, I'm over that adn am free to love it on its own. That said, Willow does feel more trendy than Willa. Willa sounds more like a grown woman so that's what I would be inclined to use. I know a woman who named her dd Willa Rosemary. :-)
