[Opinions] Dita
Do you think that Dita would be ok as a given name, without being shortened from anything? It is a name I would consider for a child.
If I were to use it from a longer form, it wpold be from Edita:0)

I like it ok but it does seem a bit nicknamish. I love the idea of Perdita nn Dita though :)Edita is nice too but I can't help just seeing "edit"

I know a Drita, so Dita sounds like a complete name to me. I have to admit that I prefer Edita though....

I'm not a fan of it and would prefer it as a nickname. But, I think it can work as a full name (after all names like Tina or Rina do).
The only problem I can see is that it's close to ditto.

Hmm. Normally I'm the first one to say go for it in this type of scenario. But something is holding me back this time. Dita just feels very nicknamey to me. Cute, but perhaps a little insubstantial in the long run. Edita is very nice. What about
Benedita
Bernardita
Giuditta (ooo I like this one)
Just some options. Very nice name though.

All I can think of is Dita Von Teese. She's very glamorous and I think the name is cute, but I think her name is also still heavily tied to Marilyn Manson, which is not a good association IMO. However, I still think the name's very usable. I really like Edita nn Dita. Or even Perdita.

It really makes me think of Dita von Teeese... plus means "fingers" in my native language. It does sound a bit inconsistent to me as a full name, but it works as nn. I really like Edita.

I guess it could work by itself.

I don't mind Dita as a stand alone name at all. It's very pretty. It has glamous feel to it.

I like Dita short for Edita - Edita is very pretty. It would work fine on its own, but I'd like it better as a short form of something. Perdita is nice, too.

Reminds me of Dita Von Teese and I think she has a gorgeous image for a kid!Prefer Edie as a nick for Edith/Edita. You could spell it Dyta
