Help[Games] Kingdom Congrats LAST ROUND
Feel free to add more children, kill a spouse and remarry, or alter your family in any way you choose. It has been seven years since last round, (oldest children should be 19 by now).
Much has happened. The war with Orlais has been over for some time now, mostly because after the French king's death (from drink, they say) five years ago, Queen Adelheid took things firmly in hand and proved herself an effective ruler, and the war ended with a treaty she herself helped to draft. She ruled as regent for her son Louis for several years, but upon his turnign nineteen a few months ago she turned the kingdom over to him. Time alone will tell what kind of ruler he will be. In Bial, the people are finally getting accustomed to peace again, and after the terrible years of war and want prosperity is creeping back into the kingdom. The children of the king and his siblings are growing up and the eldest of them have married. King Walter, Princess Magdalena, Prince Joseph, and Princess/Queen Adelheid are as popular as ever. The Enlightenment has begun to sweep the kingdom, and people are excited and curious about what the future holds.
RowenaRavenclaw, if you don't like me killing off your husband you can alter the plot in some other way, but I'd really like to have had Adelheid be the reason the war ended, at least.

Seven years later, the war has ended and the Lehrer family continued to live in their usual quiet state. Things had always went downhill since Elma's expulsion from the royal court, and it didn't stop there. Two years after Bettina's birth, Elma was pregnant again. But when she was out to buy household supplies with Jutte, an outraged horse decided to trample down the market, Elma included. In the resulting chaos, Elma gave birth prematurely while Jutte was sent to fetch her father. Elma and her newborn son Anton managed to get on for a short while, living under Severin and the older childrens' care, but Anton died after a week. Shortly after, Elma succumbed to her injuries.
Severin was devastated. Here he was, a scholar with little to do in a time of war and yet judged unfit to fight, with five children to look after. Theodor and Franziska were quickly sent off to be apprenticed to a trade. Franziska agreed to learn dress-making with one of her late mother's friends, but Theodor firmly insisted he wanted to stay and take care of blind Christoph. Severin finally worked out a compromise with his elder son: he will work half the time, while Jutte watches over Christoph, and then he can return to be with his brother after work. Severin took Bettina into his own hands, juggling the confusions of being a single father in an unfriendly time. He was pressured again and again to remarry, but Severin had no will to do so; it was Elma that he loved, after all these years. It has always been Elma, and he was unwilling to find another.
The years went by, and the family slowly began to get on their feet. Severin's writings, while never a true success, was enough for them to get by on.

I think they probably love each other.. although the Howards are titled, they aren't really important enough for a match to be political. A love match seems most likely.

They are yes Williams mother was brought up in the French Royal Court with the old king Louis and Prince Charles..she is suspected of being the illegitimate daughter of King Louis (the elder). William has a large family estate which his parents still reside in. I'm sure they would be welcomed in either country.

So i've married off one of my girls to King George's younger brother Edward :) I also notice that RowenaRavenclaw has one of hers engaged to a prince of england as well named Henry so perhaps there is 3 brothers in that royal line all married off to girls of Bialanian heritage! Also, I've given Edward the traditional english royal surname of Mountbatten-Windsor, hope thats ok!

They could be engaged and not yet married. That would probably make more sense as far as Adelheid's point of view goes.
I think that Elisabeth is the type who would marry prominently even she weren't in love. That being said, I think she would fall in love easily, too. How do you think Lutz would approach a marriage without love?

Lutz would approach a marriage without love in much the same way as his father -- marry well and have legitimate children, but have other lovers on the side. I don't think he's as extravagant as his father (yet), since Adelheid and Charles wouldn't let him be. In fact, I think Lutz prefers men; he'll procreate, as it's his duty, but something is telling me that he's gay.

I think Elisabeth would be fine with that, too. She would either quietly take lovers or wouldn't even bother with it. Perhaps she and Lutz are good friends, having known each other for a long time, but hold no illusions about any great romance between them. She enjoys being queen and having all the luxuries involved with it and has never really worried about falling in love.

Much has happened in the last 7 years. Sasha and Stasya are glad that they are in times of peace. Arina became the Crown Prince August's mistress! She fell in love with him through all their fun in the palace. Unfortunately, he cannot marry a commoner. Arina didn't care and became his mistress when they were 16, and she has already given birth to two of his children illegitamately. Adrian is engaged to a girl from France who lives with her family in the same village as them. Agnessa is also engaged, to a lord from France. He fell in love with her looks and lively personality, and the two will get married in France. Adam is a stablehand at the palace. Arina uses him as an excuse for visiting the Crown Prince. Anya helps her mother with household chores. Andrei came along with Adam to the stables, and is said to be a very good rider. He hopes to be a famous warrior, though his parents hope that the peace in Bial stays.
