[Opinions] Re: Zoe, Zoë, or Zoey
I couldn't imagine anyone using either a diacrital or a -y for a name that needs and originally had neither. Why make life complicated when it's simple? It's not as if it was simple every day.And the principal when I was at junior school (do you call it grade school?) was named Zoe Mabel; she always went by Zoe so I've always been comfortable with it for an adult.

Zoe Allison is much younger than Zoe Mabel! But they're both pretty.
