Josepha nn Eppie could totally work. I think of Eppie as a nn for Euphemia, although I prefer Effie or Femie. But it is really cute and nostalgic.

Eppie was the nickname of Brian Epstein, the Beatles' first manager and a major component of their success. I believe John Lennon was the fist to call him that, actually. That's the first thing I think of when I hear it, and it's an association I will never break. Still, it's kind of cute.

I dislike Joseph, so I dislike Josepha even more. I know it has Ep in it, but it has a ph sound not the strong P as in Eppie. So IMO Eppie doesn't work.

I like it. It's adorable.

Oh I like Eppie, it's very cute. Josepha is NMS, I don't see it as it's own name just Joseph with an "a" tagged on. Hepzibah is a bit out there, but I love it anyway. It just seems full of life. My first thought was it could be a NN for Eponine. Elspet could work too.

Eppie is cute. I've used Eppie on a character before; it was short for Epona.
Josepha could work for Eppie. I think it's pretty cool. I'm not really a fan of Hepzibah though-- to long and biblical for me!

I'm so torn. It's adorable, but all I hear is Epi-pen. Dang. Josepha nn Effie makes more sense to me and loses the epi-pen association. I don't really like Josepha much. I prefer Josephine or Josefina.

Hepzibah is funky and cool. I did a thread on Hester the other day and described it (Hester) as hipster. I knew I was pushing the envelope with that one and didn't dare add that I put Hepzibah in the same zippy, cool, funky, hipster category. I know I'm the only one on the planet. But my eyes popped when I read your post.

So Hepzibah, nn Eppie, makes perfect sense to me. It's only unusable until someone uses it. And then you slap your forehead that you weren't the one to have the guts to use it first. (You being general, not you in particular.)
