[Opinions] Amy
I've always loved the name Amy (this spelling only) and it's recently sparked my interest again. Do you think it would work with an older brother named Jasper? I know Amy is a little more common than Jasper, but I do think Jasper and Amy sounds quite nice. I looked on the charts and while Jasper rose in popularity last year by 4 births, Amy dropped by 12. Opinions on the name Amy and whether it would work in a sib set with Jasper are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I love Amy! I'm also only a fan of this spelling. Some people I'm sure think it's dated, but personally I've only ever met two, so it doesn't feel that way to me. I think it's adorable, bright, and friendly.I think Jasper and Amy sound nice together. Amy is a little more clear while Jasper is more gravelly, if that makes sense, but they kind of balance one another out.

I adore Amy and I'm glad that you like it. It's such a sweet, diplomatic little name. Jasper's not my cuppa tea but I think Jasper and Amy is an exceptional set.

I think Amy works well with Jasper. The styles are a bit different, but they don't clash horribly in my opinion. I like Amy. I don't love it, because it's a little boring to me, but I definitely think it's an okay name.

I used to dislike Amy, until I did a little research on artifacts from the Titanic. They discovered a beautiful bracelet with the name written on it; it probably belonged to a 1st class passenger. After that, I began to think the name has an almost elegant touch. Now, I kind of like it.I think Jasper and Amy make a good sibset. The names compliment each other sound-wise without being too matchy-matchy.

Amy is a nice name. I think it's more popular among my age group (I know several), but doesn't scream "dated" to me. Amy and Jasper go well together.

Amy is a lovely name. It's not nearly as popular as it used to be, so I think it's safe to use now without your daughter being one of many Amys at school and such. I'd expect Jasper to be paired with something a little more unusual but more in line with current trends, such as Phoebe, but Amy definitely still works. Jasper strikes me as "quirky trendy" and Amy, more ordinary.

I love Amy! It's adorable IMO. As for being in a subset with Jasper, I think the two work wonderfully together, and popularity shouldn't matter when choosing your child's name. If you truly love a name, by all means go ahead and use it. Do you have any combos in mind?

I adore Amy as well! My close friend is named Amy so I don't know that I would ever use it but I love it just the same.
I think it is so sweet & ageless. Yes it was super popular in the 70s but it isn't that popular now. I like these best out of your combos:
