Three years have passed for the Aldridges. Joseph and his girlfriend Penelope were married last year in a small quiet ceremony at the Aldridge's family parish. Just two weeks ago, baby Arthur joined the family as the first of a new generation of Aldridges. James and Elizabeth are thrilled to be grandparents.

Joseph is attending medical school, making things a little tight with a new baby in the house. Penelope plans to continue her budding writing career the best she can (when Arthur allows her!).

Just before Joseph's wedding, Maggie brought her boyfriend from college to meet her family. He charmed their way into everyone's hearts and is especially good with Nathaniel. He has just been accepted to law school and Elizabeth is beginning to expect he will propose to Maggie soon. For her part, Maggie has been accepted to a doctoral history program in the same city as Elliott's law school. They have moved in together, into a small but elegant apartment in a hip historical part of the city. The Townsend family is rather well-off and Elliott's parents are helping the young couple cover rent and utilities.

Tabitha will be graduating from high school in June and heading off the undergraduate with big plans in mind. She is a very intelligent girl and a talented ballet dancer. She is not sure if she wants to dance professionally, but she has chosen to double major in dance and English.

Theodore is an athlete in high school and doing well. Chemistry and physics are his favorite subjects and he is thinking about majoring in engineering in college and is interested in joining ROTC.

Little Nathaniel is doing well despite being placed on the autism spectrum. He is a very high functioning Asperger's patient and has come a long way in the last year. His greatest difficultly is his limited social capability, but his connection with Elliott has done wonders for him.
