WDYT of the names Draven & Stellan? And do you think that they would age well?
Also, WDYT of the combo Lilia Willow?

Hmm, Draven doesn't do much for me but I do enjoy the sound of it. Drake & Raven capture me more. Whereas, I love Stellan but my DH says it sounds too much like Stalin & I'd hate to leave that impression if someone wasn't paying attention, so its a no go for me.
Lilia Willow has potential but too many ls for me. I realize that Lily is very popular but I much prefer it, its simple & sweet and I almost feel as though Lilia is pretentious.

Well, I am biased as far as Stellan is concerned as this name is used in Sweden. There is a famous Swedish actor named Stellan Skarsgård. So of course I think this name would age well.
Draven is new to me and I don't like names beginning with DR. Makes me think of dragons, dreadful, drag, drab, droughty, drugs etc.
I think both Lilia and Willow are lovely names but the combination is too L-heavy.

I definetley don't think these will age well. However I dislike both name now.

Sorry, but they remind me of the names found in fantasy novels.
That is, they sound made-up. Even if they are actual, real names, they still sound made-up, like an author took common English names and mixed them about to get a "unique" feel. This is a trendy thing to do, and as such, I don't believe they would age well.

Because of the "n" endings, they will always be linked to the 90s/2000s style. But they'll still age fine, because they also have a relatively classic sound. (As opposed to Kayden, for example.)
I love Draven more. It does sound a little gothic, but I like that. Stellan is also nice, but it feels a bit like Stella with an extra 'n', which is distracting.
Lilia Willow is too many L's for me, but still pretty. Sadly all Lily names are getting old now.

I like both names, although I am not too sure how well they would age.

Draven is sort of "goth" sounding, but I think it could also just be eccentric - a sort of nutty-California-style name. I can totally picture it on an ordinary guy - especially a man, less on a kid - on the West Coast, especially now. Fifteen years ago, I'd have said it would've seemed too fey. Out here in Texas, I'd say it's more soap-opera-ish seeming on a kid, fine on a man.
Stellan sounds, on the other hand, East Coast prep to me. Rather white, and a little Euro-chic. I don't dislike it though. I think it'd be suitable-seeming over a whole lifetime.
Lilia Willow: something too much "ih" in it, but other than the sound when you say them together, I think the names fit each other.

Draven comes off as a very stereotypically gawthic choice--it sounds like what 15 year old Misery Rose (nee Jessica Anne) would name her baby boy if she got knocked up. And then she'd write some miserable poetry and cake her face in white powder. I don't like it at all; it sounds like the boy would be doomed to work at a Hot Topic to me.
Stellan, on the other hand, has some real class. It has a nice sound--feels soft without being wussy. And, of course, Jennifer Connelly has one, and since she's one of my favourite actresses in the world, that's a good thing. I think it would age well. My only problem with it is that there aren't any particularly snappy nicknames to be derived from it.
Lilia Willow has (and take not of this, because it's something I say once in a coon's age) too much L for me. I don't particularly like Lilia anyway--it sounds trying-too-hard, like her parents really wanted Lily but thought it too popular--and with Willow, it sounds even more sing-songy than usual. Willow is beautiful, though. Absolutely beautiful. It's my favourite tree, and the sound of its name is so whispery and nice.
Out of curiosity, have you ever considered Mira Willow? I know you're very much a Mira Ruth person, but Mira Willow would be an amazing combination--and it'd be far easier for people with minor speech impediments (i.e., moi) to say.

I can understand the poser-gothic feel of Draven, however I absolutely adore it. It's a guilty pleasure of mine, and I did take it from The Crow, which is my favorite movie. I go back and forth on whether or not I would actually use it. As someone who takes names from movies, books and music, I'm sure you can appreciate that, even if you don't care for the name itself : )
I don't plan to really use nicknames for any future children, so Stellan not having anything obvious doesn't bother me one bit.

I do like the sound of it, but I only plan to use family names (or some sort of namesake) as middle names, hence the use of Ruth, however I still like to make other combos for fun. Spider lilies are pretty--I've just looked them up to see what you mean. The only spider flower I've heard of before is the spider plant, which is also pretty. I really wish that Lily wasn't so popular as a name, because my two favourite flowers in the entire world are stargazer lilies (which have the most glorious smell I have ever smelled) and lilies-of-the-valley. I'm not quite sure why exactly I don't like the sound of Liliana and Lilia, even though I think Lilianne (Lily-Anne rather than like Lilian) and Lilian are fantastic. Odd how tastes work.
I also totally get the whole have-to-use-family-names thing. That's why a lot of the same names show up in my posts, heh--I'm afraid to create combos out of whole cloth, because I might want to use them, then!
