Hermione is the Queen's slightly younger sister. The two of them have been quite close since birth and Hermione supported Minnie in her endeavor to protect the country. Added to the mix is Hermione's status as a mage. She is studying with one of the most powerful mages in the country and fought bravely and adeptly during the war. Her tutor often says that she is greatly talented, and Hermione often advises her sister on magical affairs. She is a tall woman, as mages tend to be, and has the startlingly pale violet and silver-flecked eyes often associated with very powerful mages. She has dark hair like her younger sister, which she often wears in a long braid, or loose around her shoulders.
Her husband, William, is the son of the Old King, and their marriage was meant to stabilize the political climate of the country following the war. The couple is still warming up to each other, since the marriage was a political alliance and they had only met a few times prior to their wedding. He is a good man, gracious as his father, and is content with losing the throne to his wife's sister. He still wields enough influence and maintains enough wealth that he is comfortable, and he was one of the forces behind his father's abdication. He supported Minnie during the struggle, often donating some of his fortune and providing resources she required. He was impressed with Minnie, and for awhile, wished to court her. Political fortunes and Minnie's stubbornness sent her another way, and eventually led William and his father to propose marriage to Hermione, through her sister the Queen. William is a good man, kind and even-tempered, a good anchor to the more fiery Hermione. He is very good-looking and the kingdom whispers that William will father many lovely children with the beautiful Hermione.
