We live just outside of Edmonton, Canada. Nickolas works at CTV news, and I am a stay-at home parent for now (going to school though). We are high school sweethearts, dating since grade 10/11 and married after I graduated.
Year One: Adopting a puppy!
Just after we married, we bought ourselves a puppy for our new little house! We decided on a puggle puppy, so we adopted Roxy! She is very energetic and a little bit of a handful, but we decide to practice for when we have real kids.
Year Two: Twins
A year after we married, we found out I was pregnant! At our second ultrasound, they gave us the news that it was actually twins! I went into labour just after I hit 8 months, and hours later I gave birth to a healthy pair of twins. Our little girl we named Charlotte Grace Taylor, and boy Nathaniel James Noah or "Nathan" for short. Charlotte has a little bit of dark red hair and blue eyes, Nathan has blonde hair and green eyes. Charlotte is definately outgoing and Nathan is more quiet so far. We've adjusted to being parents quickly and can't wait to have more!
Year Three: Family Vacation to Hawaii
When the twins turned one, we decided to go to somewhere where we've always wanted to go: Hawaii. We spent a week touring the jungle, playing on the beach and going to shows before returning to our life in Edmonton.
Year Four: Nick's Trip to the Olympics
Nick recently got promoted from the desk to the camaras as a reporter. His first major assignment was to cover some of the Winter Olympics in Russia! We watched him on TV for the first day or two, than we got tickets to see figure skating so the twins and I hopped on a plane and surprised Nick in Russia. As a family we watched hockey, ski jumping and figure skating as well as Nick covering the gold medal women's hockey match: Canada won over the US 3-1! After two weeks, we headed home after an amazing experiance.
Year Five: From Two, to Four!
After the Olympics, I found out we were expecting again! Nathan and Charlotte were so happy to find out they were going to be older siblings. Once again we were flabergasted to find out we're expecting another pair of twins, this time they were identical. At eight months, I went into labour and gave birth to identical baby girls, Amelia Venice Page "Amie" and Sophie Verona Harper. Both Amelia and Sophie have brown hair and brown eyes, but we know Amelia is the outgoing one so far while Sophie is more chill. Our families had a big baby shower for the girls where we got to show them off.
Year Six: Yet Another Son
It was only a few months since the Amelia and Sophie's birth, but I felt sick one morning and the next and so on. I finally took a pregnancy test and it came back positive, we didn't think we were going to expand our family this fast! The nine months went by so quickly, and I gave birth to our second son just a few hours after I went into labour. We named him Benjamin Alec Daniel ("Ben" or "Benji" for short), and boy was Nathan excited to have a brother! Benjamin has a little head full of fair curls and blue eyes. We aren't sure if we really want more kids, but we'll just have to see.
Year Seven: A Surprise Baby
We literally just had Ben a few months earlier, than I got pregnant again. Oh my we had our hands full with three under 3-years, and now another one? We kept it a surprise again, and also let the kids help choose names. I went into labour in the middle of the night and it went so quickly that just a half hour later I gave birth (with the help of Nick) to our sixth child, at home. Luckily our little boy was healthy and we left the kids with our neighbour and went to the hospital. Later in the day we named him with the help of Nathan and Charlotte, Sawyer Nicholas Fletcher. Sawyer was Charlotte's choice and Fletcher was Nathan's, so we decided to use them both and put Nicholas to honor Nick in there too. With six kids, 6 and under, we definately had our hands full.
Year Eight: Birdie
We decided to get another pet for Nathan and Charlotte's 7th birthday, so we got them a yellow canary! They chose the name Apollo because it sounded "cool" according to Charlotte.
Year Nine: Third Set.....
One day while driving home from the store, I got into an accident. Luckily I left all the kids at home with my sister, although I was going to bring Sawyer along but decided to leave him. I was rushed to the hospital with a big gash on my head and a broken arm, they had to give me a blood transfusion but needed my blood type. I was tested and they came to me and Nick, who had just arrived, with the news that I was again pregnant. After the transfusion I got an emergency ultrasound, and we were fortunate to find out that everything was ok. They also revealed it was twins, and then Nick almost fainted. Six months after the accident I gave birth to fraternal twin boys, whom we named Jasper Rome Christian and Carter Ryan Sterling. Jasper has brown hair and blue eyes, while Carter has brown hair and brown eyes. Our family is so excited and we love having this big family!
Year Ten: 9 and 10.....
Six months after Jasper and Carter's arrival, we found out I was expecting twins again. We were excited that we were expanding our family to 12! Jacob Levi Brody and Lily Alexandria Morgan were born in the hospital at about 8 months. Both Jacob and Lily have fair hair and green eyes, looking similar for fraternal twins.
Year Eleven: Moving Day!
Seeing as we have 10 kids, we decided to build a larger house to accomadate us! We ended up building a eight bedroom house with 2 and a half bathrooms and lots of space! We have enough money to support us because Nick was promoted to head anchor of the news! With our new house, we hope to maybe expand one day if we have more kids.
