In today's newspaper, a BA welcoming twins Aron and Nora. That's the first time I've actually seen parents use anagram names for their twins. I'm not sure I like it. It's pretty obvious and personally, I think I would really dislike the fact that my twin had my name spelt backwards.

What do you think?

Both names are nice, but I normally don't care for anagram names on twins.

I think Malin posted a while ago a list of birth announcements that had twin boys named Noel and Leon. Leon is one of my top boys' names, and I like Noel as well.

Really do not like it. I agree with you about it being obvious. I also to not like how Aron is spelled. I do however like the name Nora, just not as a twin to Aron.

It is kind of obvious, but I like it. I wouldn't do it myself, but I don't dislike it for someone else's twins.

I think it's fine. Both are nice names on their own. I'd much rather see these than something like Bailey and Hailey =/

I don't get what people see in Nora. I find it so terribly horrid. That said, the anagramness isn't as terrible as names with the same letter or rhyming namse.

I'd feel sorry for my twin (if I had one) if her name was my name backwards. But I'd feel lucky that I got the decent name and her was Idoj. :o)

I think it is a bit obvious, especially because Aron has been spelt an unusual way. I like Nora though.

I presume these twins are Swedish, and if so then it's not unusual, as Aron is the normal Swedish spelling.

I love seeing Nora without an H, it's so much prettier that way. Aron isn't great but isn't too bad. You're right that as anagrams they're pretty obvious, but on the whole it isn't too bad.

Back in high school I was willing to name my twins Aidan and Nadia, but I find it a bit cheesy now.

I love love love Nora, but not Aron. Aaron and Nora would have be lovely though.

I've seen some Noel & Leons, which I haven't really liked, but that's just because I don't like Noel or Leon very much. I do however like both Aron and Nora, they go well together and that they're anagrams doesn't bother me at all.

I think I like this one. Even though it's corny, I don't think it's nearly as bad as rhyming names or even same-letter names (which I don't really mind that much). I like both names, so maybe I'm biased for this particular BA, but overall I think it's fine.

Aaron and Norah would of been fine. I don't see the need to make them an anagram either
