Rounds will come more regularly now I'm back home. Just thought I'd let you know :)
Another year has passed, and the worst nightmare of many seems to be coming true. Less than a decade as a unified kingdom, and Kriana threatens to erupt into civil war. Oddly enough, it is the much more violent debate over half-breed rights that calmed rather more quickly than anyone had hoped; once Queen Minerva granted them full rights and people were forced to interact with them, after a few weeks of fear and occasional violence things calmed on that front. It is the slow-burning Great Matter that has become something more terrible than anyone imagined it would be. The debate over appointees versus old nobility has always been an intellectual problem, not a physical one. It never erupted into violence until after the appointment of Lady Gloriana. Lady Gloriana began life as a cottager, child of poor fishers along the Great Kria River. Orphaned young, she was even a , especially in the healing arts. After catching the attention of Lord Ambrose, she learned quickly under his tutelage and became one of the healers to the royal household. Her skill and loyalty were rewarded with a title. She still holds no land but the cottage-land along the Kria and has been granted no more riches than those granted to any healer who shows such promise, but simply the fact that a beggar could become a lady with full honors has turned the fire of the Great Matter into an inferno. There have been impassioned public speeches, vicious verbal attacks and threats, and even violence against appointees. The queen and those close to her are fearing the worst.
How is your family reacting to the new climate? How is your wife coping with another baby so soon after the last?

Lord and Lady Lockwood are completely supportive of Lady Gloriana; after all, Ambrose was the one who taught her, and Lady Gloriana is now part of his staff. It would be ridiculous – not to mention hypocritical – of the Lockwoods to not defend Queen Minerva’s decision to grant a title to Lady Gloriana.
Ambrose and Flora were a tad unnerved to discover that Flora was pregnant only a few months after giving birth to the twins, but the entire Lockwood clan was happy when baby George was born.

Ari cannot believe how the world has turned upside down over the Great Matter. She and Nicholas know Lady Gloriana personally and could not imagine why anyone would think she was not deserving of every honor given her. The violence eruptign prompted them to move their children out of the city, to an estate given them by Minnie that is a half-day's ride from Hermione's. While the younger children were excited to stay at their summer home, Ione is old enough to know exactly why her parents are moving them and much of what is happening. Marius too knows his parents are worried and knows there is trouble, but Ari and Nicholas are hoping to keep them from knowing any more. Their children are all too young to know the danger they may be in as their parents' popularity drops.

Minnie has been trying to placate the old nobility and has been looking to Hermione and William for help, since William is of the old nobility. So far the discussions have not being going well but the Queen lives in hope.
The Royal family has welcomed their fifth child and second son, Patroklus looks like the perfect bland of his parents. He has Minnie's brown hair, Silas' dark eyes and his parents' cool intelligence. It's obvious, even at his young age, that he is a great observer and Minnie secretely hopes that he develops the purple eyes of mages so that he can become a seer.

He believes that she earned her status just like anyone else and deserves everything she has. This has caused some strain on his relationship with Alexandra, who wishes he would leave that to his sisters and pay more attention to his wife and family. Demetrius knows he needs to be there for his family, but he also feels that he needs to help calm some of the uproar of the Great Matter.

While things seemed to be looking towards a new path in Kriana when all half breeds were granted full rights civil war threatens the whole country. Coral was extremely content when half breeds were granted rights however she still hoped to keep her origins a seceret to protect her family. The threat of Bran of the Nozgain grows closer. The Nozgain have made their presence known in other countries close to Kriana with distruction and raiding. Coral is fearing for her life and the lives of her children and husband who she has grown to love.
Coral has shown tremendious power and throughout her pregnancy with Erasmos she has been unable to control all of it slipping up in public. During a trip to the harbor with the children Coral made the seas thrash and crash a forgein ship into the dock. The children were all in shock and knew that it was their mother who on a perfectly sunny and clear day made the wind blow and the seas howl the ship into the dock. Coral appologized perfusly to her husband.

During a trip to the harbor with the children Coral made the seas thrash and crash a forgein ship into the dock. The children were all in shock and knew that it was their mother who on a perfectly sunny and clear day made the wind blow and the seas howl the ship into the dock. Coral appologized perfusly to her husband.

Now that the half-breeds were given equal standing to the full-breeds, Romolo has managed to find an actual job as a scholar's assistant (apparently, the scholar finds Romolo's speeches to be simple but eloquent, and had offered him a position to help him write his biography of famous Krianians). But things had hardly took a turn towards the brighter when civil war threatened to strike. The old nobility's resentment towards the Queen's appointees culminated in an unexpected time, and the outrage over Lady Gloriana's appointment turned peace into unrest.
Romolo was worried about the change in things, and he was especially afraid that civil war will tear apart the newly-formed country (Kriana was only as old as his marriage, he remembered vividly). Lavinia tried to reassure her husband, but her cooing proved less effective when she suddenly found herself pregnant again. Of the five times she has carried children, Lavinia found it clear that this pregnancy is by far the hardest. For the last few weeks, she found herself bed-ridden, attended by her husband when he could, and their children when he couldn't. When the baby girl was born, Romolo decided that his darling wife should stop having children, because he simply find her weak state to be greatly frightening. The child was healthy, though - her name was Leandra Minerva, after the Queen.
