[Opinions] Savannah
I used to really dislike this name but now I'm really starting to like Savannah. What do you think of it? How many do you know? Do you see it as classic or trendy? Do you think people would always shorten it? Too common?

I think it's a pretty name. I see it as more trendy than classic especially considering it was pretty obscure as a given name for so many decades.
I wouldn't use it as a first name because it's too popular these days, but that doesn't keep me from liking it.
A family who lived near me had a daughter named Savannah. She was born either in the late 90's or early 2000's. She's the only Savannah I've met, but then again, I don't know many children. I've seen the name in BA's quite a bit, though.

The only Savannah I know is my step-nephew's little daughter. He's a game ranger here in South Africa, and he named her after the geographical region! And also because he liked the sound of the name.
Apart from that, I don't see it at all. It's not a name I'd choose, and I enjoy myself sometimes making up sibsets: Savannah, Sierra and Tundra, for instance.

I love this name! I only know one girl with it, and she is 15 years old. I don't think it's classic, as I think classic names have to be 'time tested' and around for a while and this is a relatively new name, so on that basis I would say trendy.
I don't think people would shorten it, but I like the nn Savvy. It's fairly common but not in the top 10 so it's not excessively common like Isabella

I like Savannah. I see her as a spunky outgoing Southern belle.
I used to work with someone whose daughter was a Savannah. She would be about 6-12.
I see it as a little more trendy just because it kind of follows the place name trend and it didn't used to be used that often.
I wouldn't shorten it. It doesn't have an obvious nickname to me.
I wouldn't say it is too common.

Ugh I never liked it. Sorry :(
Eh, not too common here.
I like it. I don't actually know any. I see it as somewhere in between. I do think people would want to shorten it though I find it hard to find a suitable nickname for. I know below everyone was talking about Savvy. I always looks at that the the double v looks like w. So instead of Savvy is looks like Sawy which is not good. Not a big fan of Savvy as a nickname anyway. Though someone did mention spelling it Savi which would be better. So the best nickname idea I have would be a form of Vannah/Vanna or Anna. Which I like a lot better especially Anna. I don't see it as common becuase, like I said, I don't know any.
