I think of Marvin the robot from the "Hitchiker's Guide" series. He's sort of an "Eeyore" character; always blue, but you can't help be fond of him.

It's okay, but it sounds kind of like an old guy name.

How funny. On the drive in to work by dh and I were talking about Marvin Gaye, the singer. And I thought to myself, "If I heard the name Marvin on its own I would think it was nerdy. But as 'Marvin Gaye' it's cool."
