[Opinions] Re: Do you go by a nickname?

I'm usually Elisabeth, no NN.
My mum says Lissie sometimes, and one friend uses Elli ( Ellie? It's never been spelled out). Some people from school call me Eli (more like...long E than Elli) because I wrote that at the end of an sms to a girl in my class when I was too lazy to write my whole name. She either thought I go by that, or just adopted it, not sure which, I just let her, I don't care.
A Canadian friend of mine asked why I don't have a NN, and if he could call me Libby. I said I would love that because it's my favourite for Elisabeth. If I moved to an English speaking country again I would probably try to get people to call me Libby. It hasn't caught on here though, and he is back in Canada.
When people want to be funny/ stupid/ get my attention etc they say Bettan. It's an old, horrible NN for Elisabeth.
