A year has gone by, and the kingdom is celebrating again as the Crown Princess has just given birth! This continuation of the royal line is a joy and a relief to many who take it as a sign that Kriana is meant to carry on. After the birth of her grandchild, Queen Minerva has begun talking of stepping down after a few more years, once she feels Princess Chloe is ready to take the throne. Many of those who know think this is a good idea--willing abdication is seen as a more preferable atmosphere for a new queen to take the throne rather than amid the sadness of the loss of queen and mother. Amid this excitement, other royal births and marriages were less interesting to the people, but still generally approved of.
Your family has welcomed their first grandchild and had the marriage of their second child all in one year! How is the family dealing with all the change?

About four months into their marriage, Dora and Alvise announced that they are expecting a child. The pregnancy was a smooth and easy one for Dora, especially with help from her proud mother and envious sisters. The labour, too, was a quick one, which was very fortunate, as if it had been any longer, Alvise might have drowned into a panic attack! Their baby was a boy, and Alvise immediately asked that he be named after his father-in-law. Romolo, however, was less than thrilled with the idea, and insisted that it not be so. Wishing to honour his decision, Alvise decided to name the son Dante instead, after his own father. Dora added the second name Louis, after Alvise himself, and so the boy was named.

They work almost exclusively as a team now, with Castor developing new non-magical healing techniques and Leda supplemented these with established magical procedures.
