In the past two years, a lot has changed. Nerissa and Thomas decided to move away from the palace into their own home in the countryside. They take little Nico to visit his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins every few weeks. Thomas has been employed by the Queen to help reinforce some of the new reforms and is extremely grateful that this new job leaves him able to provide for his wife and son. Things were going great for Nerissa, and they only got better once she discovered she was pregnant again. Since they only had a very small number of servants at their new home, Nerissa decided to return to the palace so she could have more help with Nico during the pregnancy. Nerissa loved taking her son to play with his cousins and she loved spending time with her own cousins who she missed. She had suspected she was carrying twins, as her stomach was much larger than it was with Nico. Her suspicions were proven true when she went into labor and delivered two babies. She named the first, a boy, Maximus Septimus Thomas and named the second, a girl, Felicia Selena Beatrice. Nerissa and Thomas decided to tentatively stay at the palace until the babies are a little older.
Dominic's partying had gotten out of control, he would often stay out until the early hours of the morning and was seen wandering around the palace grounds with various young ladies. He was still upset that his older brother was married to Juliette, but managed to distract himself. It wasn't until Dominic missed a whole morning of his lessons that Demetrius realized things had gotten out of control. It was too late to enroll Dominic in the military academy, so Demetrius decided to arrange another marriage for his second son. Dominic's young fiancee Cecilia comes from one of the wealthiest families in Kriana and was a part of Dominic, Argus, and Melaina's exclusive social circle. As predicted, Alexandra was angry that her husband had arranged another marriage for one of their children, but wasn't too opposed to it once she realized her son was already friends with his fiancee.
Antonius and Juliette welcomed their first child shortly after they were married. Antonius has started to develop feelings for Juliette, who in return has developed feelings for him. Their new baby has brought the two closer together. Antonius has been sent on a few overseas military missions and is excited for his career to really begin. It was on one of these oversea trips that Juliette, who remained back at the palace gave birth to the couple's first child, a boy. Juliette and Antonius had already decided on a name a head of time, Anthony Walter Phillip. Anthony has his father's dark blonde hair and his mother's dark green eyes.
Aurelia has been cultivating her artistic talents and has developed a great talent. She'll spend hours a day painting and of course, Alexandra is pleased to show off her daughter's masterpieces. Leon has been getting better and better at hunting and hits nearly every target he shoots at. Demetrius has grown quite uneasy with Arista's attitude. She commands everyone around, screams at servants just like her mother used to do, talks down to anyone she considers beneath her, and throws frequent temper tantrums when things aren't done her way. She has still been recieving a steady amount of marriage proposals, but Demetrius knows she is not anywhere close to being ready for marriage. He has gone to his sisters for advice, not sure what to do about his difficult daughter.
