Help[Opinions] Two twin BAs
1: Family friends welcome Taylyn Arahi and Kailah Rose born to Courtney and Clinton. Arahi is a Maori name which means 'guide' and she is named after Clinton's sister whom they are very close to. I don't hate the names but I am not fond of them either, it would be nicer if it was Kyla instead of Kailah and Taylyn is very made up sounding but to be honest I was kind of expecting names like this or even worse. Their middle names are lovely
2: I saw this is a newspaper on the weekend - Neena Alyce and Elyse Mae. How ridiculous is that!!! The names are far too similar even if they are in alternate positions.
Both of these are from New Zealand :)

Arahi is pretty and has a nice meaning.

I don't like any of those names! In the first sibset, I think that the names look made up and would be much better spelled "properly". Likd you said, at least the middle names are good.
In the second one, I really like both Alice and Elise. I actually posted about them recently asking which one people preferred. I wouldn't use them in the same sibset though! And I think those spellings are pretty rubbish. Nina Alice would be cute if it was spelled properly.

I don't think Neena Alyce and Elyse Mae are "ridiculous". They are in different positions, as you point out, and they are entirely unrelated names with entirely different sounds, at least for me. They look too similar for my liking and I'd prefer Nina Alice and Elyse Mae, but I can deal.
It's too bad the first couple didn't put Arahi out front, it's quite pretty and I like how meaningful it is. But maybe it would be too confusing with two Arahi's in the family.

The first two don't appeal to my taste AT ALL. Kailah Rose isn't as bad as Taylyn but I would have prefered Kaila Rose. Arahi is lovely and has a nice meaning to it.
Nina Alice and Elise Mae would have been preferable, IMO, but they're not brilliant combos either. Maybe the flow is better with the surname?
As for Alyce and Elyse being similar... I agree that it's true, but I don't think it's criminal, since they're in alternating positions as you said. Perhaps a little unimaginative but I've seen worse.
